• Helmets, high-visibility vests, gloves, steel-cap boots and eye protection are required
• Work zones are fenced off and kept separate from public roads
• A safety briefing is held before work starts each day
• Site supervisors stop unsafe work and report it
• Emergency procedures and first aid arrangements are explained to every worker
